The water in pools for aquatic animals like dolphins, fish and sea-lions requires special treatment. We have many years of experience in these water treatment techniques. One of the most important criteria for fish, for example, is the oxygen content in the water. And the water needs to be as clear as possible so that visitors can see the fish and the animals, which of course also expel their faeces in the water. As it is not permitted to use chemicals to keep the water clear and clean, we apply a combination of chemical-free techniques. Examples include ozone and ultra-violet techniques in combination with protein skimmers. We generally work together with a biologist to seek the best configuration of different techniques. And we always give first priority to the welfare of the animals!
