The ViSpro SCADA software package was developed to be a control-independent automation system, which means that customers can flexibly integrate virtually any hardware they want into ViSpro. The peripherals are linked to ViSpro via drivers, and the package comes with a large number of drivers for the most common protocols. If necessary, custom drivers can also be developed.
Customers can connect an unlimited number of peripherals with the same protocol to the system under a single licence, e.g. by linking peripherals via TCP/IP interfaces.
Although the basic version of the ViSpro package comes with a licence for one network user, ViSpro User can be used to expand the number of simultaneous users. The user base can be extended without reinstalling the software, so it will not impact ongoing projects in any way. The ViSpro software package has no absolute user limit.
Because of the capabilities of the Linux operating system, multiple workstations (users) can connect to the ViSpro software installed on the server. Any network user can connect to the server from any workstation. By using X-Windows emulation software for Microsoft Windows, every Windows workstation can become a ViSpro workstation.
ViSpro Library is where users create projects. The library consists of thousands of objects or figures, which can be easily integrated into clients' own projects as prototypes. Users need only drag & drop objects to add them to the process views for a particular project. When dynamic objects are added from the library, the client only needs to provide a few parameters with data points. All library objects are created using vector graphics and are fully customisable, scaleable and rotatable. Clients can also create their own library with specific objects that are used over and over again in different projects. Each ViSpro Library needs to be purchased only once. To use the objects in the library, the client needs a licence.
There are currently three ViSpro libraries available:
- ViSpro Library Static, approximately 2000 static objects from 37 sectors
- ViSpro Library Dynamic, approximately 1000 dynamic objects such as level, colour change, etc.
- ViSpro Library DIN30600, fittings, motors, pumps, control points, measurement features based on DIN30600 standard.
