Control panels

Hellebrekers designs and assembles control panels in-house. Our technicians in the panel construction section are in constant contact with the project engineers. The latter use the highly advanced Eplan software package to engineer and draw the control panels. Whatever the nature of the order - a small control cabinet, for example, or a complex control system - each panel is precisely matched to the customer's key requirements.

Cabling

Hellebrekers also performs the cabling work for the control systems and control panels. We design the cable runs and place the cables in the appropriate cable ducts to achieve an optimal installation service life. When engineering cabling, we put our thorough knowledge of the wide range of different types of cable and the corresponding regulations to good use. Because the control cabinets are assembled entirely in-house, all the parts involved, down to the exact types of wire used, match each other perfectly. We can then install, connect and commission the control cabinets on site.

Project engineering

In the area of process controls, Hellebrekers handles project engineering for new production lines and machine lines, and for renovation and modernisation projects. If renovation or modernisation is involved, we begin with a thorough analysis of the current production systems. We then prepare a technical functional design based on the customer's PID (Project Initiation Document). After approval, we start on the hardware and software design using the Eplan drawing package and other tools. We explain which hardware is needed for the control cabinets and recommend appropriate software programs to keep the production processes running optimally.

Hellebrekers’ ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification and the CE test ensure that each customer receives a reliable control panel that meets electrical engineering regulations and specifications. In addition, we hold UL Certification for North America, specifically UL-508A and UL-698A. This certification puts us in a unique position as one of the very few companies authorised to export control panels - in particular control panels that meet fire and explosion safety regulations - for use in demanding environments (Hazardous Locations) in the United States of America. This capability makes us a very attractive partner for international machine building companies.
